Football and science go hand in hand for Ben Braunecker, just not how he expected. The Harvard graduate and Chicago Bears player’s unique connection between the two was profiled in today’s Evansville Courier & Press, near Braunecker’s Ferdinand, Indiana, home town.

“I never would’ve thought using my God-given abilities and working really hard at something I love would lead me to an Ivy League degree and an NFL career,” Braunecker said. “I never would’ve thought that would be the course I’d take. It goes to show you that if you have something you love and work hard for, you can find success in anything.”
